I received my Ph.D. from METU in mathematics in July 2009. I was working under the supervision of John B. Etnyre and Mustafa Korkmaz. I spent last two years of my Ph.D. in Atlanta at the Georgia Institute of Technology. After Atlanta, I went to MFO, Oberwolfach Research Institute for Mathematics, to Germany as a Leibniz Fellow. I then spent some time at Boğaziçi University in Istanbul. I did my last Postdoc at the University of Waterloo in Canada before moving to my current position at Hacettepe University in Ankara.
